In our second online live seminar, we are thrilled to be joined by global Brand Ambassador, entrepreneur, and bartender Daniyel Jones, of the House of Angostura.  Angostura may be best known for being the world’s most well known maker of aromatic bitters, but  they are also makers of highly awarded rums and amaro; with medals from Rum Masters and listed on Drinks International’s Top 10 Best Selling Rum Brands of 2020.

Join Daniyel Jones, the House of Angostura’s Global Brand Ambassador, in a special live online seminar for bartenders, industry, media, trade, and interested consumers.  In this one hour online event, Daniyel will share his passion for Angostura’s rums and amaro; will tell us a bit about Angostura’s history; and will share what makes Angostura products so special – all split up with a few of his favourite rum and amaro cocktail recipes.  There will be a type-in Q&A session if time permits.

Gather up ingredients and shake along! Cocktails will include:

Hibiscus Spritz

  • 15ml Amaro Di Angostura
  • 10ml Hibiscus syrup (equal parts Hibiscus tea + white sugar)
  • 90ml Sparkling wing (Brut)
  • 30ml Soda water
  • Glassware: Wine glass
  • Method: Built over ice
  • Garnish: Fresh mint/orange slice

Orange Daquiri

  • 60ml Angostura 5yr
  • 3 dashes Angostura orange bitters
  • 15ml Orange juice (fresh/unsweetened)
  • 25ml Lime juice
  • Glassware: Martini glass / coupé
  • Method: Shaken over ice. Strained into glassware
  • Garnish: Expressed orange peel

Island Manhattan

  •  60ml Angostura 1824
  • 30ml Sweet Vermouth
  • 2 dashes´ Angostura Aromatic Bitters
  • Glassware: Coupe/Martini
  • Method: Stirred over ice
  • Garnish: Rum brandied cherries
