It is pleasantly spicy with a typical top-fermented smell. An arome of clove and nutmeg apple tantalizes the nose. On the tongue it is fresh, clean, full-bodied, harmonious and well-balanced. Marques de Caceres / Spain

The secret of Caceres' success lies in Bordeaux. Enrique Forner left Spain in the 1960s and he bought two rundown châteaux in the Médoc, Larose-Trintaudon and fifth-growth Camensac. Success there gave him the means to return to Spain and the noted Bordeaux enologist Emile Peynaud was his guide. Forner established Bodegas Marques de Caceres in 1970, building a modern production center in Cenicero, a town in the prime vineyard area of Rioja Alta. When Forner brought modern Bordeaux models back to Rioja, Caceres' winery was revolutionary. It remains one of the most technologically advanced in the region.
